Recently I keep getting those emails, that are invitations for "Professional artists communities" you know, where you cn put your portfolio, and be in contact with various companies...
Those mails have small probablility of being "spam", but seems like its just another way of "suckin in" mambers to online community website.
Don't do it. The only way to put up a portfolio online would be to get your own website.
Often, in the teeeeeny weeeeeny letter in the agreement and Terms Of Service, it'll say they can do whatever they want with your art. This happens. Nobody ever bothers reading the Terms Of Service. Be careful.
Definition of SPAM says something like "unwanted emails"/ If you did not order it, it is spam. Personally, I prefer only stuff that I find or my friends recommend me, I hardly ever read anything that comes to me by weird chance
I have few... but... well... Without giving it too much time from other tasks, there's no way to get up to date everywhere. Sooo... it's a waste of time. And if you read some of the threads on those "pro portals" - it's another nail. Waste of time. [;
